General Description:
Responsible for providing project support and assistance to the System Manager for the Standard Army Maintenance System- Enhanced (SAMS-E).

Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities:
Duties include reviewing, monitoring, and coordinating SAMS-E activities from the project office standpoint to include development, testing, documentation, training, fielding, system security, and customer assistance included in the delivery orders tasks.

Provide functional and technical project support to the SAMS-E Project Officer as required

Attend/participate in meetings on behalf of the System Management office

Review/analyze, develop, write, update, revise, maintain and publish SAMS-E project documentation

Create and maintain SAMS-E briefings/ presentations/ communications

Collect and analyze various SAMS-E project metrics

Participate in hardware determination, acquisition and life cycle replacement

Review, monitor, coordinate and participate in SAMS-E project activities representing the System Management office to include activities related to software development, testing, system security/net worthiness, fielding and training, interface agreements, communication with government entities and customer assistance.

Complete external agency taskings on behalf of the System Manager

Frequently works with other members of a project team.

Physical Requirements / Working Environment and Conditions

Ability to maintain a high level of visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods of time as required by preparing and analyzing data, figures, computer terminals, etc.

Ability to manipulate necessary office equipment, computer software, hardware & equipment.

Ability to perform the following physical activities: stooping, reaching, standing, walking, feeling, talking and hearing.

Requires working in both internal and external environments subject to variation in temperature.

Work is classified as sedentary with the requirements of exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

Travel may be required.

Basic Requirements and Competencies:
MUST have SECRET security clearance.

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not a disqualifier (Minimum 4-5 years SAMS-E experience may be substituted for education requirement)

Maintain standards compliance for ISO 9001 and CMMI.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience facilitating communications between a technical staff and a community of users.

Must have or be able to obtain Secret Security clearance.
