The Associate Director of Technical Operations SAP Business Process Management works closely with senior executives in the Manufacturing, Logistics, and Quality Assurance teams to develop strong business processes that capitalize on the functionalities of SAP and drive continuous improvement. They are an expert in SAP with a strong background using and integrating the manufacturing (MM), Production Planning (PP), and Quality Management (QM) modules.
1.Lead cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives to more effectively utilize appropriate functionality within SAP.
2.Work in close relationship with Manufacturing, Logistics and Quality Assurance to understand and develop strong business processes that take advantage of SAPs capabilities.
3.Understand the issues faced by end-users on a day to day basis and provide solutions to improve their satisfaction with the system.
4.Troubleshoot and provide on-call support for SAP enhanced business processes and functionality to resolve issues and technical complaints.
5.Perform light QM/MM/PP configuration—or work with IT configuration specialists to implement module enhancements.
6.Liaise between business areas and IT configuration and technical resources to understand user requirements and implement change.
7.Develop & enhance both standard SAP and BI reports.
8.Understand and develop training programs for the material and inventory related transactions and reports associated with the manufacturing activities.
9.Establish and administer end-user training programs for the SAP modules currently in use.
10.Assist in the representation of system reports and functionalities for material management during regulatory inspection
•5 - 8 years of experience with SAP configuration in Production Planning (PP), Materials Management (MM) and Quality Management (QM) and knowledge on how these modules integrate is required.
•2 - 4 years of Manufacturing or Project Management experience within complex manufacturing environments preferred.
•BS in engineering/IS or related scientific discipline preferred.
•Knowledge of cGMP operations required.
•Familiarity with biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical operations preferred.
•Creative thinking and strategic decision making abilities.
•A strong understanding of the SAP ECC 6.0 (or higher) software as it relates to manufacturing.
•The capability of suggesting innovations to improve user experience and business process.
•Experienced organizational skills for managing SAP enhancements through the project lifecycle.
•In depth knowledge of SAP configuration, master data and support of all of SAP MM, PP and QM functionality.
•Experience in presenting issues to senior management and partnering with management to implement resolution.
•Experience working hands-on with the business process area.
•Business process mapping skills and utilization of Visio and ARIS preferred.
•Strong background in Process Improvement leadership with deep knowledge of the manufacturing processes and manufacturing initiatives.
•Excellent written and oral communication skills.
