CSC's Federal Consulting Practice

CSC's Federal Consulting Practice is looking for SAP Trainer Consultant’s

Training Landscape Architecture and Data Designer that has 10 or more years of experience designing and developing SAP training environments. The SAP experience should include thorough knowledge of multiple SAP modules, multiple business processes within an enterprise, and all associated SAP transactions.

Duties and Responsibilities (including all essential job functions)

To be an authority within the program responsible for the technical specification of projects and choice of technology including the development, integration, testing, infrastructure used and ongoing operational maintenance.

To interpret product and project requirements and translate these into solutions that can be implemented by the development teams.

To ensure that products delivered are supportable, meet the programs strategic business needs, and align to the programs technical strategy.

To produce clear technical design documentation and diagrams detailing proposed technical architectures.

To assist the Chief Architect in defining the technical strategy for Training.

To build effective relationships with other technical teams.

To align architectural solutions with other product groups including collaboration on solution design to ensure fit-for-purpose end-to-end solutions.

To make significant contributions to the two-way dialogue with platform & operations teams about the ongoing development of the platform strategy.

Critical Knowledge

Should have 10 or more years of experience developing data for SAP training environments.

Multiple SAP Modules

Extensive proven experience in specifying, developing and deploying architectures and infrastructure for software applications in a new media multi-tiered application environment

Experience in defining, developing, or integrating SAP systems and leveraging very large data sets

Ability to think strategically and evaluate options in the short, medium and long term.

Translate business and feature requirements into technical specifications

Experience of communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Experience evaluating new technologies for their appropriateness to proposed solutions, including assessing their strategic and/or tactical benefit to the product or wider department

Critical Skills

A background in software engineering, database design, or software design and architecture.

Experience working in a technical or multi-disciplinary team

Must have experience integrating with BASIS teams and Solution Delivery Teams.

Extensive knowledge of applications sufficient to develop data for a diverse set of training materials

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)

Ability to communicate at all levels of an organization

Demonstrated interpersonal skills

Structured document creation

Extensive understanding of SAP data structures and understanding of training refresh cycles

Extensive training course development

Working knowledge of one or more critical business processes and experience in an integration activity.

Essential Job Functions

Gathers process redesign requirements; coordinates and participates in development activities and support the testing and implementation of package-based application software (Business).

Builds expertise in interface and data conversion requirements, capabilities and limitations, and setup and configuration issues associated with product modules in specialty area(s) (Business).

Understands the purpose, roles and activities related to a solution demonstration lab (SDL) and participates in applying this technique to facilitate application design and implementation (Business).

Develops working knowledge of the Catalyst-prescribed approach with respect to package-based development and equivalent vendor methodologies (Methodology).

Leads a team of 3-5 resources (company, client and third-party resources), in area of expertise, to conclusion of a project phase (Management).

Maintains conceptual understanding of enterprise software package solutions and related implementation issues from a technical perspective (Technical).

Establishes credibility at all levels within the client and builds problem-solving partnerships with the client and colleagues (Relationship Management).

Assists sales staff in qualifying leads and generating proposals (Leverage).

Provides leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel (Leadership).

Communicates in formal presentation settings including proposal orals, client workshops and regional internal events; develops proposal sections, methodology work products and formal written deliverables covering area(s) of expertise (Communication).


Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

Five or more years of consulting experience with business analysis and software product implementation

Experience working with CSC Catalyst and/or equivalent client or product-mandated methodology

Experience working with one or two product modules and associated business and technical integration issues

Experience working with detailed product functionality and features within specific specialty area(s) and associated best practices

Other Qualifications

One to two years of additional relevant experience in one or more business or industry specialty areas

Good skills in package-based development (PBD) concepts and activities

Good communication skills

Ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment

Ability to devise creative business solutions

Ability to convey a strong presence, professional image, and deal confidently with complex business problems

Willingness to travel
