We currently have an exciting opportunity for a SAP MM/PP Functional Analyst to work in our Supply to Market IT Functional team located in Temecula, California.

The SAP MM/PP Functional Analyst will report directly to the Supply to Market IT Lead and responsible for managing production support activities related to SAP ECC 6.0. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with the MM and PP modules. This individual must have an understanding of the software’s functional and technical touch points across purchasing and manufacturing business processes. In this role, he/she will be required to investigate errors in transactional processing, design and test new functionality, support related SAP inbound/outbound interfacing message stability as well as analyze data quality issues. The position requires production support experience related to change control of configuration and development changes, work estimating, functional specification and knowledge transfer documentation and test scripting.

The qualified candidate will interact with the various IT teams, understand the key business processes and ensure the “best practice” decisions are made for the business units. This person will manage a queue of production support issues submitted through the help desk system by end-users, propose and execute configuration changes and/or enhancements to the existing system in a controlled manner. The qualified candidate will assist the relevant IT Lead in stakeholder communication, which may include but not limited to various consulting partners, Subject Matter Experts, Super Users, and Business Process Owners with the prioritization of system modification (service) requests. The position requires frequent updates on the status of open requests to the business units and through the help desk reporting system. The qualified candidate will be responsible for communicating with end-users, providing knowledge transfer and performing within production support service level agreements.

This function will work with the business units directly to establish standardized regression testing and ensure testing is conducted prior to the release of new configuration, forms, development or reporting changes into the production environment. The qualified candidate will ensure that the testing is completed timely and accurately, all documentation is stored on SharePoint and that the process adheres to Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research and resolve issues within the MM and PP modules and supporting interfacing messages.

Gather business requirements, design, document, configure and unit test solutions in the MM and PP modules and supporting interfacing messages.

Develop test procedures and coordinate testing of changes with process owners.

Follow established change control procedures.

Communicate and enforce consistency in business processes and implementation template across the organization.

Develop solutions and test systems in line with agreed upon service level agreements, timelines, business requirements and global standards.

Design, build and support interfaces between SAP and other systems.

Provide impact analysis and work estimates for change requests.

Manage configuration, development and form transports between the break/fix path environments.

Support the migration requirements of projects and user acceptance tests.

Provide service desk technical support, including after-hours when required.

Deliver functional knowledge transfer to key business power, super users and other IT support team members.

Assist development and implementation of technical processes.

Integration test system to validate functionality and reliability of solutions.

Manage and prioritize a queue of open issues (multi-task) in the help desk support system.

Provide superior customer service in support for supply chain users.

Troubleshoot SAP integration with interfacing messages.

Fully support the current SAP ECC 6.0 landscape for break/fix incidents.

Complete configuration for procurement and manufacturing.

Provide direction to less experienced staff.

Perform other duties as assigned or required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field along with four or more years of progressive experience in SAP configuration and support for MM and PP modules, preferably in an end-user semi-conductor company.

Must demonstrate thorough understanding of SAP methodology, principles, theories, concepts and techniques; and leadership skills including planning, scheduling, and coordinating work assignments to meet milestones or established completion dates. Must be able to multi-task.

Must be able to lead the gathering of requirements, design, configuration, testing and deployment of functionality in the SAP MM and PP areas.

Must possess the ability to contribute to the development of new processes and resolve related technical issues.

Must be customer focused and possess the ability to identify and analyze issues and develop solutions to a variety of highly complex problems.

Must have excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings.

Must have excellent interpersonal skills to interface with all levels of employees, management, external contacts, end-users, and technical contacts.

Must have the ability to work independently or lead in a team environment.

Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products, including experience with Microsoft SharePoint.

Must have solid understanding of integration points to other modules with MM/PP.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in production support ticketing systems and technologies, Service Desk + (SD+) preferred.

Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence others on the business project team and the business unit leaders.

Innovative problem-solver who can generate workable solutions and resolve complaints effectively.

Willingness to travel (10%) including international travel.
