The SAP HCM/Payroll Lead will be responsible for managing the team that provides the overall support and delivery of SAP HCM & Payroll services at Allison Transmission.
This role is responsible for specific design, configuration, build and testing activities. They will develop an Information Technology vision regarding Human Resources and Payroll related Processes and systems. They will work closely with business leaders to ensure that Information Technology direction is aligned with business initiatives.
Establish and maintain standard procedures utilizing industry best practices and ensure the team performs and supports all quality initiatives.
Lead the SAP HCM & Payroll support team in all aspects of production support and new enhancement development & implementation. Proactively work with the business to identify business needs and requirements, design appropriate solutions, prioritize workload and deliver to commitments.
This role will work closely with other SAP Team Leads to ensure smooth and coordinated enhancements to Allison’s enterprise-wide SAP ECC 6.0 environment.
Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science, MIS or related experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead and work in a mid-sized, cross-functional, outsourced organization.
Candidates must have 3+ years experience in an SAP Lead role involving configuring a Human Capital Management (HCM), Payroll and Time Management system and the development of functional and technical specifications for developers.
Thorough understanding of computer and data processing technologies.
Employment history of successful IT project implementations with increasing project scopes using formal Project Management methodologies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including executive level reporting is required.
US Citizenship or Permanent Resident is also required.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have Certifications in SAP HCM, Payroll, Time Management configuration along with other HR related modules (i.e. ESS, MSS, Benefits, Training & Events, EH&S, etc..).
Demonstrated practical experience configuring the same SAP modules both domestically and internationally is acceptable or extensive use with other enterprise HR systems (i.e. Peoplesoft, Lawson, JD Edwards, etc..) is also acceptable as well.
Candidates should have 5+ years experience in information technology supporting HR and Payroll systems with 3+ years system configuration experience in Organizational Management/Personnel Administration (OM/PA) and 1+ year configuration of Payroll and Time Schemas.
5+ years of business experience in a systems development and implementation role and a track record of successful system implementations.
Demonstrated experience in managing multiple IT providers in an outsourced services model.
Experience with using and integrating an automated time capture system (i.e. KABA, Kronos, etc..) into a Payroll system along with experience working in a unionized, manufacturing environment and understanding complex work rules as they relate to time reporting and payroll calculations.
Candidates should be a self-starter capable of working independently, leading a large team through complex system implementations. They should be well organized and capable of managing numerous project priorities.
