Position Summary: The HRIS Configuration Specialist is responsible for acting as a systems consultant to the HR, Payroll and Accounting functions for both internal and external clients. The specialist works closely with business process owners to plan, design and implement process driven solutions. The specialist responsibilities include the designing, configuring and testing SAP
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Acts as a systems consultant to the HR, Payroll and Accounting functions.
Gather requirements from key end users and translates them into an effective system design, while considering and anticipating organizational impact.
Configures and tests the following SAP modules: Benefits Administration, E-Recruiting, Employee Self-Service, Manager
Self-Service, Organization Management, Payroll Administration, Personnel Administration, Personnel Development, and
Create functional specifications for non-standard requirements and works closely with ABAP resources to test, refine and validate custom programs.
Creates training and end user documentation and provides both formal and informal training to HR and business end users.
Participates in technical analysis and issue resolution of HRIS system problem and data issues.
Participates in designing, planning, documentation and implementation of process optimization.
Coordinates activities with other IT areas to ensure successful integration and implementation.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Previous configuration experience with SAP HR module
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to build effective, collaborative working relationships
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
Exceptional customer service orientation
Proactive, results driven
Expert in Microsoft Office including Excel
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelors DegreeMinimum of 5 years progressive HR, HRIS or IT experience.
Minimum 3 years experience designing, configuring and testing SAP HR modules.
