The SAP HR Business Analyst reports to the Senior Director of Global Applications and is responsible for the management and maintenance of the Capsugel SAP HCM application(s). In this role, the Business Analyst is responsible for ensuring that the SAP system meets business needs by gathering requirements, identifying best practices, developing process and system designs, configuring the software, testing/validating the functionality, training super users and implementing the solution. The role has two main responsibilities, first to manage daily operational needs and implement ongoing business and system improvements within the SAP Support Organization. And second ownership of the Global SAP HCM Template and in this function ensure the proper further deployment of this template in the Capsugel Organization

Reporting & Team Size:
  • This position will report to the Senior Director of Global Applications
  • This position will have a team size of approximately 0 to 3 direct reports and 1 to 3 third party resources (mostly offshore)
Responsibilities
  • Manages the operation, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade and support of corporate IT SAP HCM application(s) with clear change control governance and procedures.
  • Develop and/or improve policies and procedures that improve the support organization and collaboration with business partners
  • Works with key stakeholders and end-users to effectively determine needs, define business and system requirements.
  • Manages the installation of new programs or releases, including initial testing and software validation per approved protocol before authorizing version release to users; ensures all discovered defects are corrected.
  • Support and/or Lead small to mid-size projects

Education/Certification
  • Bachelor degree from a leading school

Experience
  • 5+ years IT Business Support or Consulting experience in the HCM area
  • 3+ years of SAP implementation experience in HCM area, particular in the Organizational Management and Personnel administration
  • Hands-on Configuration, Functional Specs Creation, and Testing experience are a must
  • Familiar working with offshore teams is a must
  • Experience with at least two full life cycle projects, from Blueprint / Design through Go-Live and Support
  • Experience leading design sessions, resolution discussions, and progress reporting
  • Experience with Global Roll-outs and Global SAP Template deployments
  • Experience with multi time zone, multi language, multi cultural environments
  • Experience with integration such as Third Party Payroll, Benefits, etc..
  • Familiarity working with Third Party vendors

Ideal candidates will also have:
  • Experience working in a SAP Support Organization
  • Experience with SuccessFactors and/or Integration with SF
  • Experience with ESS and MSS solutions
  • Experience with Active Directory
  • Good understanding of the integration between HCM and FICO
  • Experience working in a validated environment

Travel Requirements
  • Ability to travel 30%, domestic & international
