Reporting to the Accounting Manager, position is responsible for assigned areas in the day-to-day financial operations of Meridian’s long-term care non-profit entities. The responsibilities will include, but not be limited to; preparation of journal entries and financial statements, maintenance of the general ledger, annual budget preparation, general ledger account analysis, variance analysis, full understanding of the revenue cycle in order to properly report revenue and investigate issues, automation, assistance with audit and compliance reporting requests, and other areas as needed or assigned. Must be a team player, deadline focused, detail-oriented, well organized, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.


[Minimum education]

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

[Minimum work experience]

Five years accounting and budget experience.

[Desired work experience]

Healthcare accounting experience preferred. Public accounting experience a plus.

[Required licenses/certifications]

CPA preferred.

[Required skills]

Advanced proficient Excel skills as well as experience with various accounting and/or other financial software. Use of MAS90/200, report writing software, Axiom budgeting software, IHN billing software, all a plus.

[Valid drivers license required]
