TransUnion, a Global Leader in Credit and Information Management is seeking a Senior Product Manager within our Capital Markets business unit.

Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for executing product development and support plans, which includes assuming ownership of concrete aspects of product development and support across all parts of the product cycle, and working within and outside of the organization. May also be responsible for collaboratively generating new product development strategies and proactively identifying and implementing improvements to existing products and product plans. Requires ability to practically apply strategy, marketing, and implementation principles to real-world opportunities to help determine which ones to pursue, and how best to make that happen.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Own various components of product development and be responsible for a timely, quality delivery. Includes developing and evolving design into something that can technically be implemented, leading cross-functional teams on the build, ensuing necessary support processes are in place, demonstrating the value proposition, creating customer-facing marketing materials, enlisting necessary external partner support, and developing and managing product roll-outs.

Support existing product mix by being a reliable subject matter expert, both internal and external facing, and researching newly identified questions or potential issues.

Support external partnerships as needed, including relationship maintenance and contract negotiation and execution.

Collaboratively develop and communicate product strategies. This includes practical application of an synthesis of business strategy and marketing (e.g., price, promotion, channel, product and people) for a particular product. May include market research and sizing, financial analysis, and the creation and presentation of findings to management. May require interaction with sales and customers.

Work with sales and other stakeholders to set pricing approach for smaller “custom” opportunities, creatively and practically developing and executing delivery plan.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

A Bachelor degree is required.

MBA highly preferred

, but MBA-equivalent with experience will be considered.

Previous work experience related to marketing, product management or management consulting preferred.

Industry experience in data and/or information services, computer science, financial services and/or capital markets a plus.

Display in all directly relevant and adjacent areas; synthesize different perspectives, proactively identify and address inconsistencies and/or areas for improvement

Develop an in-depth understanding of processes and technology, enabling a cross-functional perspective on product/process opportunities

Oversee business processes at a high level to identify areas for improvement

Influence and manage cross-functional tasks, teams and projects

Complete ad-hoc assignments while managing multiple projects/products simultaneously

Exhibit sound business acumen and proven experience as a lead of various initiatives

Exhibit superior verbal and written communication

Effectively work with internal and external partners
