The Senior LVN will work together with the healthcare team to perform a variety of patient care activities in support of clinic activity. This includes prioritizing and assisting in patient triage processing, preparation and assistance with patient examinations, administering medications, drawing blood, collecting and preparing laboratory tests, and patient education. Position requires initiative, able to prioritize critical demands and the ability to work in a team environment.


Must possess a valid California LVN license issued by the state of California.

BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART w/in 6 months of hire date

Demonstrated LVN experience in direct patient care; demonstrated skills in accurately taking and recording vital signs, height and weight; administering medication including injections; interviewing patients; and collecting and/or testing specimens.

Demonstrated knowledge of the normal range of values for vital signs, emergency procedures, and of basic lab and infection control procedures; standard items used to stock exam rooms and an emergency cart in order to monitor and replenish stock and to order supplies; and commonly used patient education protocols used in the clinic in order to consistently and accurately instruct patients.

Demonstrated knowledge of the patient flow process in order to efficiently monitor appointments, patients and available physicians.

Requires knowledge of universal precautions and proper use of body mechanics.

Variable work hours and locations; willing to work overtime as required.

Have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing and be able to articulate complex ideas for all levels of audiences.

IV certified

Phlebotomy certified

Ambulatory Care experience

ACLS and/or ART

Knowledge of PCIS, IDX, and EPIC computer systems

Back office primary care experience
