This is a temporary assignment from 1 to 6 months. This role will work full-time (Monday - Friday) from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
SHRM Research, as part of the Knowledge Development Division supporting SHRM, produces high-quality, leading-edge research and provides expertise on human resource and business issues. It acts as an advisor to SHRM for the purpose of advancing the HR profession and generates and publishes cutting-edge research used by human resource professionals to develop their knowledge and to provide strategic direction to their organizations. As leading experts in the field of HR, SHRM Research works closely with leading academics, policy makers and business leaders.
The temporary employee must be able to respond to, coordinate and organize potential customer leads by maintaining a customer log, scheduling and assisting with webinars.
- Ability to professionally interface with potential clients via phone, email and webinars.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
High School Diploma and 2 to 5 years of sales, marketing and customer services experience. Effective oral and written communication skills in working with a wide variety of individuals; sensitivity and awareness of member needs; creative approaches to problem solving; and the ability to be flexible and work under pressure. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, and office machines is required. Professional demeanor, sales and marketing experience. Ability to work independently.
