As a speech language pathologist at Marianjoy, you will be part of an interdisciplinary team of skilled clinicians. You will utilize advanced clinical protocols to serve adult patients in a variety of areas including brain injury, stroke, spinal cord injury, neuromuscular, orthopedic/ musculoskeletal and pain management.
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides safe and effective speech-language and swallowing services including the evaluation and treatment of persons with speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing disorders. You will evaluate, select and apply goal directed interventions for the treatment or prevention of these impairments/functional limitations to achieve maximum independence. You will have the ultimate responsibility for the provision of services including the supervision of speech-language pathology support personnel.
The work schedule is Monday - Friday. The start/end time is flexible between the hours of 7:30am - 6:00pm. Occasional Saturdays and holidays are required to meet program needs.
Masters level (or greater) degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution is required. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in speech - Language Pathology, or eligibility following completion of the Clinical Fellowship year, is required. At least two years of subacute experience is preferred.
Current license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of IL (or licensure application on file with the IL Department of Professional Regulation), or eligibility following completion of the clinical Fellowship year, is required.
