Summary:
An Adjunct Instructor is a temporary faculty member in an academic department who is responsible for guiding the learning of students in classrooms and/or clinical settings. A faculty member is assigned to teach the course for which they are qualified by education, certification and professional experience. Instructional duties include planning courses and curricula, didactic and clinical teaching and evaluating courses. Related duties include academic advising of students related to the course the instructor is teaching. Faculty at the rank of adjunct instructor are expected to be actively engaged in professional activities, which enhance the faculty role.

Qualifications

Education and/or

Experience:
The candidate must have a completed Master’s, doctorate, or be enrolled in a doctoral program at an accredited college or university.

At least two years of employment as an occupational therapist.

Certificates and Licensure:
The candidate must be a registered occupational therapist by the National Board for Certification for Occupational Therapists, Inc. (NBCOT).

The candidate must have a current OT license in the state of California.
