Responsible for LP’s corporate sourcing efforts, including long term strategy development, risk management, supplier implementation, ongoing supplier management cost reductions, and service innovations, to deliver significant cost savings and value improvement for assigned expenditure categories.
Utilize LP Supply Management Six-Step process to conduct sourcing reviews and manage multi-million dollar contracts relating to non-manufacturing areas. Present spend categories include, but not limited to: Travel, Office & Professional Services, IT hardware and software, Global Print Management, and Human Resources.
Develop, implement and manage policies and practices throughout the corporation, including: Corporate travel policies – drive compliance to preferred vendors; develop and/or maintain on-line booking tool; manage unused tickets and corporate airline points programs and Corporate fleet programs – ensure compliance to contracted vendors; manage acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of fleet vehicles.
Function as buyer for IT hardware and software.
Function as commodity and/or industry expert for specific commodity areas to internal customers.
Effectively communicate the impact of sourcing decisions to management and employees as appropriate and actively enlist their support.
Work with internal and external customers to develop systems / processes to deliver cost savings, improved service, improved quality, and develop other productivity improvements.
Review, edit, and approve complex Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) documents and communicate to internal stakeholders and suppliers.
Develop and maintain short and long term strategies for indirect expenditure categories.
Strategically manage supplier relationships including development and monitoring of supplier performance criteria.
Review and analyze the effectiveness of current supply programs with existing vendors and recommend improvements.
Lead and perform detailed research for on-going and special projects.
Conduct analysis and prepare various reports and presentations.
Maintain confidentiality in all areas of responsibility
Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations.

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
2 – 5 years experience with corporate supply management and/or working with an application of strategic sourcing processes.
Prior experience in selecting and using e-sourcing tools desirable.
Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
Occasional travel (not expected to exceed 10%).
