Job Responsibilities

REVISED This Statement of Work covers the need for the services of college students to provide technical and/or analytical support in the fields of computer science, computer engineering, engineering technology, information systems, electrical engineering, physics and/or a similar area of study to support the Net Centric Development group in support of the Airborne Networking project. The purpose of the task is to assist the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Pacific (SSC Pacific) personnel in the research, development, test and evaluation of software and hardware for net-centric systems and the network infrastructure for both manned and unmanned aircraft.

Minimum Qualifications

REVISED Undergraduate Level2 (Junior): Computer Science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or similar major with a GPA of at least 3.5 on a normal scale. Required Course Work: Programming in C++, Java, database languages, and web design languages Lab courses involving testing, evaluation and troubleshooting methods Technical writing course

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

REVISED Must be able to assist with testing Network Evaluation architectures; creating testing and evaluation procedures; documenting Network Designs to and from Visio and PDF files; exercising and/or testing models utilizing stimulation, simulation, emulation, numerical and statistical analyses techniques; testing, documenting specifically delineated developmental hardware; preparing monthly Status Reports and Bi-Weekly Time Reports in accordance with basic contract CDRL.

Preferred Education/Certifications

Preferred Experience/Special Skills

REVISED Experience in basic TCPIIP concepts, routing/switching, and router configuration. Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems. Leadership, ability to work well in a team, organization, management and presentation skills.

Working Conditions
