Job Responsibilities

This Statement of Work (SOW) covers the need for the services of a student to provide technical and analytical spport in the fields of Mechanical Engineering and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). The ultimate purpose of this project is to evaluate energy savings, system reliability, and return on investment in support of the Data Center Cooling Distribution Efficiency project.

Minimum Qualifications

Undergraduate Level : Mechanical Engineering major (Junior or Senior) Required Coursework: CAD drawing heat transfer thermodynamics

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Required Skills: must be self-motivated and enjoy the challenging tasks, must have strong analytical and communication skills, and must be able to write and produce technical and scientific documents.

familiarity with data centers and networking devices, familiarity with Microsoft Visio, familiarity with different building structures and infrastructure, particularly the cooling system, knowledge in High Performance Computing (HPC), familiarity with mathematical libraries, such as LAPACK.
