Job Responsibilities

This Statement of Work covers the need for the services of college students to provide technical and/or analytical support in the fields of psychology or cognitive science in support of the Psychometrics and Demographics Collection and Analysis Effort. The purpose of this project is to create a large electronic database of demographic and psychometric information from existing paper personnel files collected from United States military personnel completing a specific training regiment. Collected data will be analyzed to determine if personality or other characteristics are predictive of training performance or subsequent performance in a selected position.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to enter data into computerized databases, from handwritten or printed forms, in a timely and accurate fashion according to the priorities set by the project lead; adhere to a policy of strict confidentiality concerning all documents, data, and information maintained within the department; adhere to data entry Standard Operating Procedures and use coding dictionaries to obtain values for data points when necessary; check work for accuracy on a daily basis according to established procedures; reconcile discrepancies with the guidance of the project lead and obtain guidance when values are questionable or illegible; interact with clinical, military, or SSCPAC personnel to resolve omissions or discrepancies; run and distribute reports as necessary (this includes batch reports run on daily and weekly cycles, data reconciliation reports as well as special purpose ad hoc reports); report any system errors and/or problems to the SSCP AC project lead; assist clinical and SSCPAC users in database interaction as necessary, perform queries in database; run monthly Status Reports and Bi-Weekly Time Reports shall in accordance with basic contract CDRL.
