Summary: The Special Programs and Community Education Outreach Specialist provides ongoing support to the Director of Grants, Special Programs and Community Education Outreach; coordinates and prepares for educational program presentations, participates in programs as needed; provides database management; interacts professionally with internal and external customers; has the ability to work independently, assists in the administration of the Grant application process, and possesses superior organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Reports to: Director, Grants Administration, Special Programs and Community Education Outreach

Education: B.S or B.A in relevant field such as Education, Life Sciences, Nursing.
An advanced degree is a plus

Years Experience: 2-3 years as a teacher, teaching assistant or other related field

Skills: Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint required. Ability to organize meetings, interact with Middle and HS teachers, guidance counselors, as well as university level instructors and administrators, and students and parents at various educational levels.
