The University at Albany, Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures seeks a full-time lecturer in 20th and/or 21st century Spanish Peninsular literature and cultural studies to begin Fall 2013. (for more info see: www.albany.edu/llc)
Responsibilities include teaching three courses per semester and full involvement in the undergraduate program.
Requirements:
Ph.D. in Spanish from a university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization
Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English
A solid grounding in more than one genre/media
An interest in transatlantic studies
The experience/ability to teach at all levels
Ability to work with a culturally diverse student population
Additional Information: Professional Rank and Salary Range: Lecturer, $42,000
The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, or Clery Act, mandates that all Title IV institutions, without exception, prepare, publish and distribute an Annual Security Report. This report consists of two basic parts: disclosure of the University's crime statistics for the past three years; and disclosures regarding the University's current campus security policies.
