SQL Server Database Developer / DBA

Job Description

SQL Database Developer / Administrator to join our expanding company. This position will be responsible for maintaining and development of SQL databases.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Data modeling, logical and physical database design
• Extracting, loading, and transforming from various data sources using ETL tool DTS, and SSIS
• Ability to work on different team projects, troubleshoot, issue resolution, and presentation skills
• Design/Deploy Cubes using SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
• Redesign/Deploy management reports using SQL server Reporting services (SSRS)
• Involved in transformation of OLTP data to the Data Warehouse using DTS and SSIS
• Tuning T-SQL queries to improve the database performance and availability
• Create Views, Stored Procedures, effective functions, and appropriate Triggers to facilitate efficient data manipulation and data consistency
• Microsoft SQL Server Database Administration including planning, Implementing Backup, and Recovery strategies
• Implementing different types of like Snapshot, Merge and Transactional Replication
• Installing and configuring Cluster SQL servers in Active-Passive or Active-Active
• Creating and Maintaining technical documentation for various environments
• Managing Log Shipping for hot standby computers
• Use tools like Index Tuning Wizard, SQL Profiler, and Windows Performance Monitor for Monitoring and Tuning SQL Server Performance
Required Skills
• Require a deep understanding in SQL server Architecture
• Installed upgraded and configured Microsoft SQL Server and databases in Clustered environment
• Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills and ability to learn new concepts
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience
Required Experience
• Prefer 5+ years of experience in IT, as MS SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 Database Administrator (DBA) in OLTP/OLAP environment
