As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you will partner in a team environment or be able to independently identify, document, analyze, and communicate solutions to meet the reporting needs of the business. The successful candidate will work with Business Solutions operations and process teams to translate business needs into requirements and recommend and build reporting solutions using team resources. The Senior BI Analyst will be responsible for project management of such projects from the analysis and requirements gathering phase, through the development, testing and final delivery of scorecard metrics and/or reporting solutions. The successful candidate will be able to manage multiple priorities and work across client groups to eliminate barriers and complete high quality projects in agreed upon time frames.

Candidates for this position must be well organized and have effective interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills. The position will provide technical opportunities and use a business-value approach to identifying reporting solutions to fit business needs. It requires the selected candidate to be a motivated self-starter with the ability to supervise other’s work in a collaborative team-oriented group environment, while keeping a strong focus on the needs of the business .

Job Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of Business Analyst and/or IT Analyst or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated ability in developing complex automated reporting solutions using tools such as SQL, MS Access, SAS, IBI WebFOCUS or Crystal Reports
  • Able to effectively manage multiple projects and manage across teams
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong problem solving abilities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated strong and positive interpersonal skills. Able to interact well with individuals from all disciplines
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, MIS or related subject area
  • Knowledge of CenturyLink/Qwest data, systems and processes including Sales, QC and/or QCC ordering, billing, revenue, financial and inventory systems highly desirable
  • Combined IT and Business Operations background
