The Staff Store Auditor will be responsible for conducting compliance audits for our US based stores. The Staff Store Auditor is expected to foster strong working relationships with the Store Operations department and be a leader within the Internal Audit organization.
Conduct store operational/ compliance audits of Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us nationally.
Individually conduct 85+ Store audits annually.
Domestic Travel: 75%. Home on weekends.
Ability to plan and work independently, especially in the field.
Perform as-needed analysis for special field projects.
Issue audit report findings to senior management.
Interact with executive management on special projects.
Learn and master all store operating systems.
Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure and tight deadlines.
Implement innovative ideas.
Enthusiastic to learn about and contribute to a diverse retail environment
BS degree in Accounting or Finance related area preferred.
Very strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to speak in front of large groups.
Strong analytical skills. Attention to detail critical.
Very high level of Excel experience necessary.
Previous retail experience a plus.
Has a strong desire to learn business operations.
Able to work independently and multi-task several projects in a fast-paced environment.
Very strong organizational skills.
Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office, Outlook Soft and Oracle
, as well as Store Systems.
Possesses strong intellectual curiosity and business acumen.
Is of high integrity and should be able to use discretion when dealing with sensitive or confidential information.
Has a thirst for learning and is able to identify the need for procedural improvements.
Fluent in Spanish, French, or German a plus.
