New opportunity for an experienced Steam Trap Technician to join Ameresco’s Operations Team based in Ogden, Utah.
Locate, test, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair steam traps and other ancillary equipment.
Conduct trap and equipment readings critical for operations, efficient performance, maintenance history, and reporting.
Assist with daily inspections, maintenance, and repair of landfill gas to energy plant equipment, including daily logs, preventive maintenance tasks, and reporting requirements.
Provides clear, accurate, customer-focused verbal & written communication.
Ensure top quality service in a timely, efficient, & customer-focused manner.
Ensure compliance with company, industry, trade, regulatory and jurisdictional safety standards, practices, codes.
Perform other duties as required.
Trade or Vocational School education, plus minimum 5 years experience in boiler trade as a journeyman required.
Minimum 5 years experience installing, operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing gas & LP water & steam, traps, boilers and water treatment systems, controls (electrical & pneumatic) vacuum systems, and hydraulic systems.
Current Gas /Oil Burner Technician’s, Fireman’s, or Operating Engineer’s License strongly preferred.
Ability to read and interpret system and equipment plans, specifications, operating manuals.
Strong verbal, written, computer communication and organization skills.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs & transport equipment & tools in excess of 300 lbs.
Valid Drivers' License issued by state of residence and in good standing.
U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
May be required to pass DOT substance testing and/or security clearance investigation.
May require flexibility for ‘on call’ support or varied schedule needs.
