The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, Department of Surgery is seeking a Bariatric/Minimally Invasive Surgeon at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level.
Fixed term or tenure track position available.
Applicants must be board eligible or board certified in General Surgery. Experience and/or additional training in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery is required. Rank will be commensurate with education and experience.
Bariatric surgery will be approximately 50% of practice. In addition, the successful candidate will have the ability to rapidly integrate into an active, collaborative clinical and basic research program.
The ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with Vidant Medical Center. Vidant Medical Center is the flagship hospital for University Health Systems of Eastern Carolina and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine and East Carolina University.
MD from an appropriately accredited institution required and full, unrestricted license to practice medicine in NC.
Board certified or board eligible in general surgery.
Advanced training with emphasis in Bariatric Surgery preferred.
