Hollander is currently seeking a Software Engineer for Plymouth, MN.
Actively participate in the design, development and implementation of new and existing systems and features to deliver high quality, high value solutions to customers on time and within budget. A strong background in developing web based solutions is required. Any mobile platform experience is a strong plus.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Work collaboratively with Business Analysts, Development and Product Managers, Architecture, QA and other Software Developers in producing quality software products utilizing best practice methodology and technology.
•Actively participate in the analysis, design, and build out of web applications, mobile applications, and social interaction applications.
•Collaborate with different development teams geographically distributed as needed.
EDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE
•2 years experience in Microsoft technologies including ASP.Net, C#.Net, or Java
•2 years of experience in database design and development, preferably MS SQL.
•1 years experience building geo-location/social networking based applications for both the web and mobile platforms.
•1 years proficiency in Objective C and/or Java for iOS/Android building apps.
•Proficiency building and integrating social applications using technologies such as Facebook API, Facebook Connect, Open Graph, Orkut, Ning, etc.
•Ability to work with ambiguity in requirements and partially completed specifications through independent analysis and discovery.
•Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
•Ability to accurately assess task difficulty, ask questions to better understand and establish timelines to ensure project work is completed on time.
•Ability to perform multiple activities simultaneously.
•Ability to perform special assignments as requested.
•Be comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
