Daily activities are generally free from structure in a variety of capacities that require self direction, big picture potential and the ability to travel to the new environments that Penhall operates in.This is generally an independent position but, in following Penhall Company's drive to ZERO ACCIDENTS, has strong leadership from above to maximize efforts and uncover more time in the day. This allows for more outside activities as well as praise or recognition for those making every effort to work safely. Average % of time spent in each areaI. Training employees at all levels 20% of time. Utilizing class room, group or one-on-one opportunities to talk with employees to reinforce safety goals.II. Change, influence, and pro-active support of the company "ZERO Accident" safety culture 70% of time Training through direction to ensure employees work safely Penhall believes all injuries can be prevented to create favorable working conditionsIII. Limit Company Liability and Exposure 10% of time Major accident investigation Corrective action plans and results tracking Timely and thorough documentation of trainingJob Description/Duties: Contract/bid job site compliance follow-up.Safety and/or new hire orientation and trainingWeekly preparation for training, scheduling of time, etc.Visit job sites for compliance review, hazard analysis, training.Contract/bid job site inspection with salesman/estimator at bid time.Daily status meetings to review and follow up with Penhall leadershipTime spent talking with employees across a number of divisions based on needs.Wrap-up meeting with manger at end of visits with both reviews and goals outlined Additional Skills: OSHA 10 and 30 hour trainingBasic PC Windows computer skillsConstruction experience, 2 to 5 yearsDemonstrated successful leadership skills career path developmentWilling and able to travel away from home an average of 12 days per month.Forklift, aerial lift, respirator, lead exposure, confined space, fall protection, excavation, Rigging and cranes This position has no "home location" as you will be traveling from division to division.
