GeneFresh Technologies, a Joint Venture between two vegetable seed
companies Vilmorin (French based) and HM.Clause (based in Modesto, CA),
is committed to providing better genetic resources to leafy growers in
California and Arizona. GeneFresh has its own breeding, production and
sales teams, and is using well established research technologies from
its parent companies.
In order to strengthen our position in the Salinas Valley we are pleased

The primary
responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
Develop, implement and
report annual trial plans to identify new varieties that will meet
customer needs.
Initiate and maintain
contact with present and potential customers, through sales calls
and associated travel.
Provide a high level
of service and product information to customers.
Recommend specific
varieties to meet the needs of the customer.
Maintain a high level
of communication with the customers and the GeneFresh associates,
acting as the liaison between these groups.
Trade shows and field
days preparation and participation, along with related activities.
Resolve product
performance issues with the customers.
Set and meet annual
sales and margin budgets.
Prepare monthly sales
forecasts and annual releases.
Monitor market trends
and identify new varieties that will allow GeneFresh to capitalize
on the growth opportunities.
Maintain a high level
of knowledge regarding the competitor’s key products.
Qualifications :
Requires a minimum of
a B.S. in Agronomy or Horticulture, or equivalent field.
3 - 5 years experience
in the Vegetable industry preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft
Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Basic Spanish a plus
Skills required :
Vegetable production
knowledge preferred.
Computer skills (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong verbal and
written communication skills needed.
Ability to work with
people from a variety of different cultural backgrounds.
Must maintain a high
level of communication and teamwork with customers and associates.
