Our Company invites applications for the position of Category Development Manager. Responsibilities are as follows:
Serve as Category Management consultant to our customers and internal team that identifies opportunities that deliver category and customer growth through fact based recommendations.
Exhilerate high energy, assertive management skills, an aptitude to resolve complex problems, understand market dynamics and employ good decision making skills.
Assess trends, analyze shopper data and syndicated/point of sale data to identify key customer opportunities for growth.
Withhold solid understanding of Category Management processes and practices.
Collaborate with both our customers and internal teams in the areas of effective product assortment, shelf merchandising, promotional and pricing recommendations.
This position requires these qualifications:
Consumer manufacturer/broker/trade background
2+ years key account experience with a syndicated service
2+ years category management experience
Merchandising expertise in the consumer brand industry
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Nielsen
Understanding of consumer data applications
The competency requirements are Results Orientation, Planning/Priority Setting, Analytical/Decision Making, Competitive Intelligence, Financial Understanding, and Computer Business Applications
