RESPONSIBILIES - Process orders for Local Account Executives into the station systems and generate contracts - Resolve airtime scheduling problems such as revisions, make goods, preemptions, discrepancies and cancellations - Prepare analysis of market program audiences and estimates - Assist sales in marketing initiatives; create sales campaigns and presentations; work with Nielsen ratings/products; learn ABC network systems - Input local copy instructions and orders; manipulate inventory and commercial placement; formatting of daily logs - Gain understanding of multi-media platform media such as online media, mobile and digital sales - Perform client services including but not limited to avail presentations, package preparation, copy writing, credit applications, collections, etc. - Create non-traditional revenue opportunities - Coordinate production efforts for new clients - Execute post-buy analyses of broadcast and digital schedules - Obtain commercial material to be used by Traffic for on-air schedules - Attend weekly Sales meetings - Accompany Account Executive on at least one sales call per week - Participate in all Sales training programs - Attend various Nielsen/Rentrak research meetings - Answer phones, route calls, take messages in a hectic environment - Fax, make copies - Assist and back-up other Sales Assistants when necessary - Back-up switchboard during lunch breaks and afternoon breaks - Perform other duties as needed and/or directed by Sales Mangers and Account Executives REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION: College degree from an accredited College or University with a degree in Communications or Marketing preferred. Valid driver’s license and proof of insurability required. EXPERIENCE: One to two years experience in a broadcast facility or advertising agency a plus. SKILLS/ABILITIES: Working knowledge of Microsoft applications required i.e Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Wideorbit, Matrix, Salesline experience preferred. Self-motivated, creative and possess strong people skills; detail oriented with excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills; work within a team framework.
