WideOrbit is seeking a Sales Director to join our rapidly expanding team selling to National Cable Networks. The ideal candidate is a self motivated professional, who knows the Network business inside and out and would be confident using that knowledge to develop a client base for one of our newest and hottest products – WO Network.
If you’ve had experience selling into large networks, understand the planning, buying and stewardship stages of a deal, and have a solid grasp on the systems that support the transactions, you could be a fit for this role. The ideal person would be organized, persistent, well spoken, with an eye for detail, and a passion for winning. You see targeted advertising and delivery as an exciting evolution in the industry, and have a firm grasp on the tools and data that will enable the future possibilities. Experience in working for and/or serving large National Networks as a vendor, solid industry contacts, vision and drive will get you in the door. Your passion, knowledge and enthusiasm will get you a permanent chair, working for an organization who has enjoyed 30-50% annual growth since inception over 10 years ago.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience working at a TV Station, Cable Network, Rep, Media Software Company or Advertising Agency.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in business development or sales with thorough understanding in media buying or planning IS A MUST.
- Software sales experience is a plus.
- Ability to solicit new partnerships and close proposals.
- Positive entrepreneurial attitude.
