The Sales Engineer will partner with the sales reps and account managers to perform a variety of customer-focused services including:
  • Provide subject matter expertise for closing business
  • Identify client requirements and assess technical fit
  • Map SilverSky capabilities to the client requirements
  • Identify and document client’s network and email architecture
  • Articulate SilverSky value propositions
  • Perform demonstration of SilverSky SaaS services
  • Educate clients on cloud best practices
  • Ensure appropriate provisioning specifications
  • Create proposals and review contracts
  • Articulate regulatory requirements and best practices
  • Sales Engineering experience in a related industry (Security, Systems, Networking, Messaging or Applications)
  • Experience with email and web security solutions (Spam/AV, DLP, archiving and encryption)
  • Knowledge of network security and Threat Management (UTM) solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in sales settings
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must have the ability to give effective presentations to clients write and develop reports and supporting documentation
  • Must have the ability to present to executive management as well as technical administrators
  • Experience providing pre-sales support for cloud-based services
  • Public speaking experience
  • Knowledge of information privacy and security requirements regulating the financial (GLBA) and/or healthcare (HIPAA) industries
  • Highly self-motivated, energetic person

  • Ability to communicate effectively dealing with internal and external customer and vendors
