Maximize OpenX’s prospective customer win-rate through industry leading sales engineering in support of BD
Ensure the on boarding of new customers is as smooth by coordinating with post-sales deployment teams and establishing a successful pre-sales technical knowledge transfer.
Develop customer confidence in OpenX through demonstrating a deep understanding of the Ad Serving landscape and high level of technical expertise around OpenX technology.
Grow OpenX business by offering creative solutions and approaches to complicated client problems and use cases.
Reduce impact on the OpenX product team and support teams by vetting the selection of new clients and determining “fit.”
Understand OpenX’s business, products and customer needs at a deep technical level.
Give in-depth OpenX product demos, tailored to prospects use cases, including UI, white-board outline of OpenX as a solution, and how it can fit in the customer’s environment and business model.
Fully understand customer’s business model and fill missing key-functionality with OpenX solutions.
Conduct needs assessments with prospective OpenX clients once Business Development has qualified client for commercial viability to determine if core OpenX functionality meets client needs or if Professional Services custom work is required.
If Professional Services work is needed, write a Statement of Work (SOW) in conjunction with the professional services team to define the scope of the project and appropriate pricing.
Respond to prospect RFIs/RFPs in a timely and professional manner, representing OpenX as a solution.
Respond promptly to technical questions from Business Development, internal teams and Clients that arise during the sales process.
Attend sales meetings with Business Development both on the phone and in person, as necessary.
Possess a deep understanding of the OpenX vision and current product roadmap.
Build clear working relationships with other teams, esp. product, technology and business team. Focus on making these relationships highly successful.
Coordinate with post-sales OpenX teams to ensure smooth transition of pre-sales technical knowledge.
Work with the OpenX Professional Services team when necessary to help clarify client needs and to ensure development work is consistent with what was discussed pre-sales.
Continue to educate Business Development team in post-sales learnings around best practices, good client fits, new OpenX features and other learnings.

Candidate should be familiar with HTTP response codes and their meanings.
Candidate must have some understanding of basic HTTP headers, including setting and retrieval, cache controls, etc.

Familiar with common browser-based debugging tools (LiveHTTPHeaders, FireBug, Chrome Dev Tools)
