Skills in Demand
The Sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical and business support throughout the sales process. In order to accomplish this objective, the Sales Engineer is responsible for understanding the business requirements of prospective customers. To accomplish this, the Sales Engineer must work with the Sales Directors and members of the Client Services team to deliver compelling product demonstrations which reinforce the Zenprise value proposition.
The ideal candidate has a track record of success in outperforming sales goals and delivering enterprise management IT solution to enterprises.
Ensure technical wins during the sales process by reinforcing the value proposition as set by the Sales Director
Explain the benefits of Zenprise products to prospects through presentations, detailed discussions and product demonstrations
Participate in sales calls in person, via web conferencing or conference calls to understand and identify business needs of prospective customers
Participate in all technical pre-sales activities including meetings, RFI / RFP and Proof-of-Concept
Define and propose new architectures which deliver both technical and business and benefits while also meeting or exceeding the objectives and requirements of prospects
Articulate competitive differentiators of the Zenprise solution to prospects
Define, propose and execute professional services to adapt Zenprise solutions to prospects needs
Customize and manage customer deployment projects as needed to ensure customer loyalty
Supply all new customer feature requests to R&D for development
4 year college degree
At least 2 years of experience in a pre-sales role successfully deploying and selling sophisticated software and IT products to mid and large corporate markets
Additional spoken languages will be a plus
Previous experience with at least one major mobile or mobile management solution provider
Strong understanding of mobile platforms such as, iOS, Android, Windows Mobile and BlackBerry
Strong understanding of mobility solutions based on Blackberry Enterprise servers and ActiveSync
Must have a good understanding of deploying IT based messaging solutions based on Microsoft Exchange
Knowledge of the technical components of an enterprise IT infrastructure. This includes Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, IIS, TCP/IP, Firewalls, VPNs and Virtualization
Understanding of networking and support challenges for wireless applications
Understanding of client / server and cloud architectures and operations
Enterprise management tool experience. This includes Microsoft System Center, HP OpenView and BMC Patrol/Remedy
Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008
Knowledge of Web based technologies such as Web Services and .Net
Knowledge and awareness of IT security standards such as FIPS, SOX and PCI
Knowledge of programming languages such as PHP, Java, Perl, Python
Ability to present complex business and technical solutions to varying levels within an organization
Experience with monitoring tools such as MS Operations Manager, HP Open view, IBM Tivoli and BMC Patrol
Must possess excellent time management, communication, decision-making, presentation and organizational skills.
