Reports to the VP of Ecommerce and Business Development

This position has no direct reports and can be located anywhere in US.


The Sales Executive is responsible for selling ecommerce fulfillment services to retailers and brand manufacturers. The position is responsible for utilizing consultative and value based selling with C-Suite penetration at the corporate level to successfully close new business opportunities. The Sales Executive has overall responsibility to lead the Newgistics consultative sales process culminating in a signed contract.

  • Direct sales
  • Generate new business through identifying, prospecting, managing and closing new opportunities
  • Act as a business consultant and demonstrate extensive knowledge and insight into prospective clients’ business processes while linking offerings to the agendas of senior executives
  • Deliver high caliber, persuasive presentations incorporating value based strategies and impacts
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts. Meet and exceed quota standards
  • Develop and optimize a sales pipeline, manage pursuit strategies focused on senior executives to deliver new client wins
  • Develop and maintain accounts by building strong client relationships and strong management of internal, cross functional resources
  • Ability to work in a team environment as a knowledge leader

  • Prefer BS/BA in related discipline or 5+ years of sales and fulfillment and/or parcel industry experience
  • Industry experience in the fields of technology, logistics, shipping, mailing or fulfillment is required
  • Previous sales experience utilizing Consultative and Value based selling with successful C-Suite penetration capabilities
  • Proven success with prospecting and selling skills to land new accounts
  • Highly self-motivated with competitive drive
  • Knowledge base of 3PLs, ecommerce, technology and corporate contacts is a plus
  • Ability to work independently with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent negotiation skills and strong business acumen
  • Ability to work within a team environment, utilizing personal influence skills to harness internal and external resources
  • Excellent phone communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a home based environment with local and national travel necessary as required
  • Solid skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
  • Demonstrates 3-5 years over quota performance
  • Experience using or equivalent SFA or CRM
  • Demandware, Hybris, WebSphere knowledge a plus
