Goal of the Sales Manager

The Sales Manager manages sales activities of organization by performing the following duties personally or through outside Sales Representatives



Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve corporate goals

Assigns and monitors sales territory to sales representatives

Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates

Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product and Company

Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals

Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion

Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition

Directs product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales programs


Bachelor’s Degree

5+ years successful experience selling consumer products to retail chains

Candidate can come from most durable home products, house wares, toys, office products, home organization, etc.
