Surfcomber South Beach - a Kimpton Hotel and Restaurant located in the heart of South Beach is seeking a seasoned Sales Manager to drive hotel Corporate Negotiated/Group sales. This 186-room property leads South Beach in service, style and edge. It currently holds #3 on Trip Advisor for South Beach hotels. This position will primarily sell to the Corporate Negotiated and the local Group market.Overview of Duties performed:
Sell, Sell, Sell that means telephone prospect calling on a selected database of Kimpton group accounts, leads, and those accounts which you know and we do not and ANYTHING else you can think of to generate more business.
Visiting local clients weekly
Conduct sales presentations verbally and using technology when appropriate
Conduct fam trips as needed
Lead Follow up
Conduct Site Inspections
Attend trade shows as needed
Travel as needed, to complete personal sales calls and presentations to customers within your region
Use your head and be nimble, when writing the marketing action plans that you will create and complete
are they effective and possible to accomplish
Build creative proposals that will separate you and Surfcomber from the clutter that is out there
Negotiate and execute Contracts that are fair and profitable
Be engaging and relationship driven in your day to encounters with customers
Be an excellent time manager
Delphi Sales system proficient

Sales activities conducted are on steroids

Required Skills & Experience:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and/or three to four years related hotel Sales experience a must!
Experience in Corporate Negotiated/Group Sales is a MUST!
Proficient at all levels of English, to include reading, writing, and speaking. Equally as proficient in Spanish is not required but considered a plus
Able to read and Interpret financial statements
Able to create and conduct presentations to top management, peers, Ownership and public groups that is creative, informative, and presents our/your point respectfully and timely
Computer literate in (but not limited to) Hoteligence, Microsoft Word, Delphi Sales Systems, Excel, Microsoft Power Point,etc.
Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discount, commission, proportions, percentages, and build formulas using excel
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
