This position is in the Recycling division of International Paper. We

are one of the world's largest paper recyclers, handling more than 6

million tons of paper every year. We have recycling facilities

throughout the United States. A majority of the recycled paper is used

in our mills, with the balance sold domestically and worldwide.

The Strategic Accounts Representative will work with other International

Paper businesses to identify current/future customers that would be a

good fit for recycling and waste minimization solutions. This position

will be responsible for prioritizing and pursuing the best

opportunities, utilizing the full range of resources from the Recycling

division and of the current enterprise division that is supporting the

account .

This position will be based in Memphis, TN

Key Accountabilities:
• Engage International Paper businesses to introduce the Recycling
business as a support to their customers or potential customers
• Educate IP businesses (management and sales organizations) on
Recycling capabilities
• Develop, execute, manage and own plans to secure new business by
involving existing relationships and leveraging Recycling infrastructure
and resources to provide effective “Green Solutions”.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive professional written programs
and proposals.
• Accountable for managing the recycling solution process and the
execution of all needs and commitments made within contracts or other
agreements.
• Engage and work with all layers of management both within IP and
our customers/suppliers.
• Comply with legal, financial and business policies and procedures

Functional/Technical Skills:
• Four year college degree in a related field
• Five years successful high level sales, preferably in the
paper/box industry.
• Experience in using market analysis to develop strategic plans to
align fiber sourcing activities with internal and third party customer
demand.
• Ability to work effectively across functional groups to achieve
business goals
• Ability to influence senior leaders within IP and with external
customers/suppliers
Recycling industry knowledge including the following would be considred
an asset:
• Recycling plant operations experience
• Recycled fiber sourcing experience
• Industry equipment and applications such as balers, compactors,
shredders, etc
• Non fiber recycling solutions
• Waste minimization & zero waste industry knowledge
