Responsible for developing Andersen’s residential trade business at the assigned market level. Develops and executes business plan to capitalize on trade and product opportunities. Executes strategies to optimize the penetration of products, identify new business opportunities and convert new customers. Collaborates, as applicable, with other Sales delivery partners in the market area.
Develops and executes Business Plans to capitalize on trade and product opportunities.
Executes strategies to optimize the penetration of new product introductions and special promotions in the assigned market.
Meets quarterly or more frequently, as needed, with customer stakeholders, market specific delivery partners and Sales Management to update progress on Business Plans, monitors and tracks market progress, assesses the market place for additional opportunities and adjusts activities as needed.
Develops a value added, productive working relationship with customers by proactively managing the Business Plan to establish credibility and respect through being assessable, providing solutions to business opportunities, providing follow-up for customer concerns and leveraging the Andersen brand to promote the customer’s business.
Participates and/or makes presentation at local market meetings to provide trade and product expertise to customers.
Provides training to customers to include, but not limited to sales process, product, installation and new product introduction.
Liaison to Sales Management, Marketing and other internal delivery partners to provide input and feedback regarding product, programs and policies.
Performs duties efficiently within established budgets and spending guidelines.
Establishes credibility and respect with targeted customers and accounts by conducting business consistent with Andersen’s Vision, Values and Strategies.
Team member on district or division teams or other cross functional project teams.
DIRECTION OF OTHERS:
Actively collaborates with other Sales delivery partners, the Service organization and ALI delivery partners in the local market or district.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Four year degree in business or a related field of study.
Three years of direct to trade selling experience preferred. Strong business knowledge, including basic sales and marketing principles.
Product knowledge of basic residential and commercial construction practices as well as specific Andersen window and door product knowledge to include specific product specifications and applications preferred.
Demonstrated ability to conduct market research generating qualified business opportunities through cold calling.
Evidence of strong analytical and fact based planning skills.
Robust communication skills (oral and written) required to engage key decision makers, conduct needs analysis, articulate Andersen value proposition and persuade stakeholders to pursue mutually beneficial business strategies.
Segment the market, profile accounts, identify solutions and key contacts.
Able to use, update and customize databases, electronic presentations and spreadsheets proficiently to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
