McGraw-Hill Ryerson’s School Division develops and publishes core curricula resources for Grades 9 – 12 in Mathematics, Science, English Language Arts and the Social Sciences and Humanities for the Canadian Educational market. We’re currently seeking an Educational Sales Representative who has an unparalleled drive to succeed through their excellence in understanding the market place, building superior customer relationships, and developing strong product knowledge.

We are now accepting applications for a permanent full-time Sales Representative in the School Division. This position will be based in London, Ontario or surrounding area and will include travel in the Golden Horseshoe and Southwestern Ontario region.

Responsibilities Include:
Professionally represent McGraw-Hill Ryerson in The Golden Horseshoe and South Western Ontario.

Continually increase sales and create customer value by analyzing and uncovering customer needs and sales opportunities.

Acquiring maximum knowledge of the School Division products (print and digital), services and solutions in order to position resources that best fit customer needs.

Developing and maintaining a strong working relationship with MHR’s editorial and marketing teams to maximize provincial sales adoptions, custom publications and tenders/bids.

Ongoing use of SFDC in order to update the customer database and identify pending and future sales opportunities.

Making formal presentations and product demonstrations to key decision-makers and other interested groups of educators.

Providing sales reports and territory forecasts to the Regional Sales Manager.

Required Skills

University degree along with superior interpersonal skills is essential.

Self-starter with excellent time management and organizational skills.

Creative problem-solving ability.

The ability to adapt easily and effectively to a changing environment.

Microsoft Office Applications – proficiency using Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint along with the ability to demonstrate technology enabled solutions.
