Under the direction of the Sales Manager, Medicare: Conduct all phases of selling including identify, qualify and call on prospective clients for purposes of presenting MVP Medicare products and services to meet company and individual enrollment goals. Assure understanding level of each enrollee by providing clear, complete and accurate information regarding the Medicare products, managed care, and MVP policies. Develop and maintain positive relationships with community organizations, group residences, etc. within assigned territory. Give group and individual sales presentations, meeting company and Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services sales and marketing guidelines. Generate leads and referral sales. Create and maintain individual prospect database files including information regarding name, address, and current plan, phone number and other important data. Complete internal management reports as requested. Present member workshops. Complete all phases of MVP age-in process (Transitioning MVP non-Medicare members to MVP Medicare products. Performs other duties as assigned. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Education: Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Sales, Communications or related field, or equivalent combination of education & related experience. Minimum Experience: Three years sales experience in a Medicare Managed care setting. Required Skills: Demonstrated mastery of sales process via successful sales track record. Excellent presentation, oral communication skills including public speaking. Demonstrated time management and project planning skills. Must possess good problem-solving capabilities. Must be self-directed, confident and sensitive to the needs of Medicare populations. A high level of personal integrity and the ability to represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times, both internally and externally is a must. NY LAH Health Insurance license is required prior to selling. Must obtain the MVP Medicare Certification Training within 60 days from date of hire, or prior to first sale, whichever comes first. Valid driver s license and access to vehicle for frequent travel within assigned sales territory. Outlook, Word for Windows desired and basic data entry/typing skills. Knowledge of PowerPoint (or comparable program) helpful. Frequently required to lift/transport heavy materials (brochures, etc.).
