ThyssenKrupp Elevator Americas is currently seeking a Modernization Sales Trainee to join our world class team in Los Angeles, CA.
Job Purpose :
The Sales Trainee program consists of field & office training as it relates to the Company’s products, installation and project managing as well as elevator industry and customer service. While participating in training, the individual will also handle contract administration, scope review and bookings for modernization; CRM entry and reporting for sales and management; and collateral documentation, change order tracking, submittal and approval processes. At the conclusion of the approximately six month training program, the trainee will be considered for any modernization sales position within the Northwest District within the West region or may remain in an inside sales administrative/project management position should no openings be available at that time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Provide support to other sales team members by being alert to new account prospects throughout the market area and referring the necessary information to the appropriate sales representative
Build contract sales opportunities by establishing a marketing presence, researching and collecting competitive information, and developing leads
Call on current customers to identify needs, present recommendations and solutions, present service support opportunities, and obtain new additional business within the complete service territory, with the objective to achieve or exceed sales goals
Develop accounts by tracking and analyzing services provided, interviewing key customer personnel, identifying and evaluating additional needs, identifying and evaluating new opportunities
Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
Perform additional duties as required
Job Requirements :
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
Recent college graduates and military applicants with a strong aptitude for sales are encouraged to apply
Previous outside service sales experience is strongly preferred
Mechanical and Technical aptitude
Ability to work independently
Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills
Strong computer skills and math aptitude are required
Oracle, SAP, or other ERP experience strongly preferred
Must be able to travel up to 15%
