The Sales Trainer is responsible for the preparation and delivery of focused training to educate our sales force on the latest sales strategies, the functionality of OpenX products, and our customer needs. The primary audience for this role will be sales professionals, but this role should also be able to deliver learning solutions to the rest of the organization. The sales trainer will be champion a culture of learning and preparedness and will be instrumental in ensuring our sales team is effective.
Design and roll out a curriculum that provides our sales team with engaging instructional training
Research, recommend, and train new training technologies and tools to ensure learning products keep pace with industry trends and future learner needs.
Update training documents, and work closely with all levels of management to evaluate and revise training tools as appropriate
Negotiate and manage cost-effective partnerships with third parties to ensure sales effectiveness.
Deliver wide range of content including: sales, technical and operational best practices
Design, deploy or acquire new and innovative training programs for the sales organization
Conduct in-person trainings on and address other sales skills as necessary
Monitor training program results, including: tracking compliance, effectiveness, and feedback for continuous improvement
Minimum 5-8 years progressive experience in a sales training department within high-tech or software industries
Proven track record in sales training design, facilitation, and coaching
Self-starter with good organizational and interviewing/researching abilities
Flexibility and adaptability to shifting needs and evolving priorities.
Prior sales or account management experience highly desirable
Demonstrated record of effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously
University degree required
