Analyzes and maintains marketing information and database.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Gathers and selects sources of information to determine market characteristics, measurements of market potentials, market-share analysis and sales analysis.
Conducts analysis of present and potential markets for new or existing products or services.
Assists in planning marketing strategies and objectives.
Monitors profitability and performance of existing products and services.
Maintains marketing database including catalogs, key codes and customer/prospect files.
Products regularly scheduled reports from marketing database.
Coordinates various marketing fulfillment duties and systems including direct mail, packages, letters, catalogs and other sales literature.
Monitors and evaluates advertising budgets and usage.
Coordinates advertising schedules and placement.
Researches, negotiates and coordinates new advertising opportunities.
Assists with direct mail, advertising and catalog proofreading and related editorial projects.
Assists in planning and implementing public relations programs and trade shows.
Participates in new market research and design.
Conducts customer surveys to obtain marketing information about organization products and services.
Performs other related duties as required.
Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.
Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; and up to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
