Sample Technician Medical Molding Validation- Lead (1st shift)

Location Design Development Center - Hudson, WI

Responsibilities

Technical Lead for Sample Technicians on all shifts, including extensive process validation experience.

Review and improve our methods used to validate molding processes

Lead continual improvement in the methods used to develop processes

Train all sampling technicians on new equipment and validation methods.

Participate in project kick off meeting for new tooling projects, representing production

Provide direction and leadership to production staff, including people management as follows managing performance; addressing disciplinary issues; hiring; assisting people with career development; communicating information to direct reports and passing information up the management chain; ensuring team is aligned with and accomplishing goals/objectives; administrative processing; and, maintaining trust and confidentiality

Demonstrate leadership ability and foresight to plan and delegate work in advance

Organize and coordinate activities within the manufacturing operation to meet or exceed the facility and corporate goals

Ensure quality parts are produced and delivered on time that meets customer specifications

Project staffing for daily and future production needs

Coach and facilitate problem solving among production staff

Promote continuous improvement involvement along with timely completion of all corrective actions assigned

Consistently monitor machinery, processes and work cell layouts in order to recommend improvements that yield increases in profit and quality levels and decreases potential safety hazards

Other duties as assigned

Keep work area clean

Report incidents and injuries to team leader/manager immediately

Recognize close-call incidents and safety hazards and take action to eliminate them

Use equipment properly and follow the safety features/operating procedures

Wear applicable personal protective equipment

Follow applicable safety, quality, and environmental programs, policies, and procedures

Actively participate in continual improvement, corrective action and customer satisfaction

Qualifications - Education & Experience

Minimum two (2) years supervisory experience

Associates Degree in a manufacturing related discipline, or equivalent experience

Minimum four (4) years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment

Validation experience for medical molding is required

Completion of Phillips Mold Tech certification program (current participation will be considered); if external candidate, must pass assessments and enroll in certification program.

Leadership skills including ability to maintain confidentiality

Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Strong organizational skills

Ability to achieve desired results by influencing peer groups within the facility

Physical ability to work with molds and lift at least 50 lbs.

Strong desire to work and participate in a team environment

Self-motivated and flexible individual.
