American Resource Staffing has several openings for Sanitation Leads/ Supervisors for clients North of Boston. The individual in this role will be responsible for the overall sanitation of the company through their direct efforts and those of their team members. This position will be hands on to support the sanitation programs throughout the facility; responsible for developing SSOPs; Sanitation documentation maintained; validating cleaning process is effective and good sanitation practices are used.

Primary Responsibilities Include: •

Ensures each member of the Sanitation crew adheres to all company GMP’s and follows company directives on regulatory, product quality, sanitation, food safety, employee and environmental standards. •
Ensures each member of the Sanitation crew adheres to company HACCP procedures. •
Ensures each member of the Sanitation crew has been trained on how to read and interpret Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and understands company requirement to comply with any directions for safe use or personal protective equipment requirements as listed on the MSDS. •
Directs and distributes daily work load amongst sanitation technicians. •
Effectively communicates with Production, Warehouse, Maintenance and QA, focusing on conducting effective and timely sanitation of specific areas within the food processing environment and pieces of equipment. •
Routinely/daily conduct sanitation effectiveness audits and takes immediate, corrective action if required. •
Works with Quality Manager to develop procedures, techniques and tests for monitoring effectiveness of sanitation. •
Assists in departmental training related to Sanitation Standard operating procedures, GMP’s and procedural adherence and documentation. •
Writes procedures and creates forms of documentation for measurement and record keeping. •
Monitors performance of sanitation crew to assure cleaning of food equipment and food processing environment is conducted per SSOP requirements. •
Performs Routine Sanitation work including but not limited to area assessment, organization, cleaning, sanitizing and auditing. •
Under direction of Quality Manager, generates work orders, tool checklists, chemical control, assists with the documentation maintenance of the Master Sanitation Schedule and other operation’s related GMP’s. •
Assemble and disassemble assigned equipment in a safe manner. •
Clean production equipment, warehouse equipment, the entire warehouse area and washes tanker trucks •
Safely apply industrial foam cleaners to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. •
Communicate issues and concerns to QA Manager. •
Other duties as required.

Requirements: •

HS degree or GED; BA/BS degree in Business, Supply Chain Operations, Food Science, Engineering or related field preferred •
3 years supervisory experience in a food-processing, pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing organization, preferably using computerized manufacturing equipment •
Demonstrated knowledge and application of sanitation processes in a food, chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment

Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, including the ability to disassemble and reassemble equipment •
Will be required to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, standing, climbing, reaching, stooping, pulling, pushing, grasping, and balancing as part of production activities out on the floor. Will be required to see and hear well enough to understand associates questions and respond to their concerns. Capable of lifting and or moving 50lbs. Capable of working in the inside and outside exposed to the different elements. Must climb heights, stand on top tanker trucks. The job is very physically demanding.
