This position assists School of Medicine faculty in reviewing and preparing grant proposal documents for submission to the UMKC Office of Research Services for submission by UMKC to funding agencies. Also, this position will provide expense report detail to School of Medicine researchers for grant and non-grant accounts. Determinations for School of Medicine grant payroll, expenses - such as equipment and supplies, and subcontracts with other institutions are made by the department unit. The position also ensures student research projects and non-funded research projects are reviewed by appropriate compliance committees and have administrative approval.

Minimum Qualifications

An associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with comparable knowledge and abilities is required, as well as two years experience in an administrative capacity.

Preferred Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree, previous grants experience, previous PeopleSoft Financial experience, and demonstrated use of Excel.
