Purpose Supervising the machine shop located in the Department of Physics.

Essential Functions Plans, assign and supervies shop operation within the Department of Physics Consults with faculty, students and staff on work orders for the machine shop located within the Department of Physics Maintains inventory, orders materials, provides cost estimates for jobs beign requested Responible for overall maintenance of the machine shop within the Department of Physics

Marginal/Incidental functions Other functions as assigned.

Required qualifications High School diploma supplemented with vocational machine shop and technical courses. Five years of experience as a journeyman machinist or instrument maker with some supervisory background.
