Requires a Ph.D. in physics with emphasis on experimental particle or nuclear physics. The candidate is expected to have demonstrated extraordinary capability in the field of particle physics. A proven track record with leadership roles in the field of nutreno, kaon or muon physics measurements is highly desirable. The successful candidate will participate in the activities of the group and department. These include the Long Baseline Nutrino Experiment, MINOS, MicroBooNE, ORKA, Mu2e and g-2 at Fermilab and the Daya Bay reactor neutrino experimemnt in China. Travel should be expected. The candidate will work within the Electronic Detector Group and will have broad associations with other groups in the Laboratory and throughout the world to carry out his/her work. The Electronic Detector Group in the Physics Department currently has fourteen physicists at various career leveles with major current responsibilities in neutrino physics and a long history of research in fundamental particle physics. The appointment is expected to start on or about September 1, 2012 under the direction of S. Kettell.
