We are looking for skilled Python engineers to contribute to two of its products, Scout and TalentFilter. Reporting to the Development Lead, the Engineer will join a distributed team to implement large scale multi-tenant B2B services. Scout is seeking creative thinkers who thrive in a fast-paced engineering driven culture.
Collaborate with designers, testers and product owners to build requirements and drive product direction
Produce high quality, testable and scalable code
Contribute to all engineering aspects of the project. Just a few of those areas include:
Solving challenges in performing 3pty service integrations
Consuming SOAP and REST APIs to exchange data with clients
Data modelling in MongoDB
Machine learning and document classification/scoring
Three or more years of professional software development experience, preferably with Python, but if not, your background should enable you to become a great Python developer quickly
Self-motivated and a strong problem solver with an emphasis on root-cause analysis and quick resolution of issues
Adaptable, have-a-go attitude, willing to learn new technologies and skills quickly
Relentless focus on improvement, both for yourself, and the product
Nice to Haves:
Python, particularly Web Service micro-frameworks
Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
High level of familiarity with Distributed Version Control (Git)
Experience working with Agile development practices
B.S. in Computer Science or related subject
Experience with or interest in machine learning and document classification problems a plus.
Previous contributions to Open Source projects
