We are currently accepting applications to join our team as a Seasonal Street or Seasonal Stormwater Maintenance Worker in our Municipal Services Department. These positions are temporary seasonal positions that work full-time hours for up to 11 months, typically Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Duties for the Seasonal Stormwater Maintenance Worker involve manual labor to maintain stormwater infrastructure, including but not limited to open channels (natural & improved), detention and retention facilities including city lakes, wetlands, corrugated metal pipe (CMP), high density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe, reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) and other stormwater quality Best Management Practices (BMP's).

Duties for the Seasonal Street Maintenance Worker include manual labor to complete asphalt repairs, crack sealing, drainage work and other general street maintenance.

Other duties include assisting with snow removal operations which require occasionally working after hours including weekends and/or holidays and assisting with City festivals and events which may require working occasionally on weekends and/or holidays.

QUALIFICATIONS: Requires HS/GED or equivalent training and 2 years' experience in construction practices, materials, and maintenance methods. Must possess a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire, a good driving record and required endorsements. Ability to work in all weather conditions. Experience preferred in Landscape/Horticulture, concrete or maintenance related trades or any equivalent combination education, experience in operating skid steer loader, backhoe, dump truck and other mechanical equipment helpful.

Offers of employment are conditional upon successful completion of pre-employment physical, drug screen and background investigation. Starting pay $12.25 per hour. Benefits include 30 hours of paid leave after 30 days of employment.
